Veteran Tan (Slow Satisfaction) kicks her Secrets of a Rock Star series off with a sultry start. Ricki Hamilton, heiress and reluctant keeper of the Governor’s Club, a secret Hollywood kink club, desperately wants to be taken seriously as the savvy business professional she is. That means keeping any hint of sexual scandal out of the papers, and the best way to do that is to avoid passion altogether. Her resolve falls apart when she meets up-and-coming bad boy rock star Axel Hawke. Axel knows what he wants, and it’s to break through Ricki’s icy shell. When a sudden and arousing encounter in the back of a limo reveals Ricki’s leanings as a sub, Axel is even more enraptured. For Ricki, the experience means vulnerability and a need to avoid Axel, even as her body craves to succumb to him again.
